Product Review: The Duck that Saved Bath Time

So, before you become a mom you have no idea how the smallest things will make your day.  Recently, we began the transition from the infant sling in the tub (which we loved by the way) at 6m++.  My baby is a little bit on the large side - 30", 24lbs, so we had well worn out our welcome in that thing.  We first tried the First Years Infant to Toddler Tub - it worked *ok* but was very cramped and had ridges that seemed to squish him up and make him uncomfortable in the tub.  Next, we tried the Baby Einstein Tub from Target - it was essentially just a laundry basket sized plastic tub with no support, the only advantage to it was there was more space for toys.  HUGE DOWNSIDE was that he slipped all over everything and HATED it.  He tried to get out instantly which just made him slip around even more.  My poor boy who once loved bath time suddenly considered it torture!

I finally decided to try the duck tub.  It is inflatable, non slip, and narrow enough that it made him feel secure during bath time. We put him in it for the first time and his whole demeanor changed.  He was completely relaxed and started to play.  *Sigh of Relief*.  First bath in several weeks I haven't had to hold him down while trying to bathe him and wash his hair as quickly as possible!  Not only that, it is inflatable, so super easy for travel.  Oh, one thing though, some of our Marchie friends tell us that their duck tubs quack.  No evidence of quacking with ours - so I am not sure what that is about!!
